Honest fee math vs a property management company
Full-service HOA management companies in the U.S. typically charge ~$12–$30+/door/mo (often higher for small associations and high-cost metros), or a % of assessments / base + per unit. Financial-only packages land closer to ~$8–$15/door/mo. On a 50-unit board collecting $250/unit/quarter ($50k/yr), a mid-range full-service quote around $15–$25/door is roughly $9,000–$15,000/yr — before meeting, mailing, or delinquency add-ons.
Apples-to-oranges on purpose: a management company supplies staffed services; DuesBoard is software for boards that stay self-managed.

Pricing questions
What is the 1% platform fee?
A disclosed fee on each online payment through the resident portal — assessments, late fees, violation fines, and other ledger charges — paid by residents when your board assigns the fee (not absorbed by the board). Offline payments (check, Zelle, etc.) are not charged the platform fee. Stripe’s own processing is separate. Your SaaS subscription (Monthly · Quarterly · Annual) is separate.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
Yes. A card is required to start the 14-day trial. You are not charged the SaaS plan until the trial ends. Cancel in Settings before day 14 and you will not be billed.
Why isn’t there a free plan?
Free SaaS often still takes ~1% on every ACH. We show flat SaaS + 1% upfront. You get a 14-day trial (card required) to run a cycle before you commit. Cancel before day 14 and you are not charged.
What does Mid-Size cost on a 50-unit HOA?
On a $50k/yr ACH volume scenario, Mid-Size is $50×12 + 1% = $1,100/yr (plus Stripe processing). See full pricing.
